About Humoreske Orchestra

Humoreske Orchestra was formed in 2025 when amateur musicians from Fukuoka gathered together under the project of "performing Mahler's Symphony No. 4 with Humoreske (a world of humor)."

The name "Humoreske" comes from the German "Humoreske," meaning "a small piece filled with humor." True to our name, we value expressing the various emotions and stories in music with humor.

Our members come from various professional backgrounds, including working adults and students, and we practice diligently primarily on weekends. Though we are not professional musicians, we aim for high-quality performances through our passion for music and sincere attitude.

Our Philosophy

🎵

Sharing the Joy of Music

We cherish the joy of performing music and aim to share that joy with our audience. Rather than just technical perfection, we emphasize conveying the emotions and stories in music.

🤝

Valuing Community Connections

As an organization based in Fukuoka, we strive to contribute to local cultural activities and provide opportunities to experience classical music up close. We actively perform at local schools and facilities.

🌱

Continuous Growth

We challenge the limits of amateur musicians and constantly seek new musical expressions. Through workshops with professional instructors and mutual learning among members, we strive to improve our performance techniques and musicality.
